OUR STORY

All the charm and elegance of a Parisian wine bar, on Glenferrie Road

The 6th arrondissement of Saint Germain, Paris is famously known for its elegant charm. Wide boulevards and beguiling side streets are punctuated with interesting boutiques, exquisite architecture and gardens overflowing with greenery.

And now St-Germain Wine Bar brings that enchanting local neighbourhood feel to Hawthorn.

In the beating heart of the inner-city you’ll find an inviting spot to sip, savour and share. Offering a casual yet refined atmosphere, full French-inspired menu and substantial selection of fine French and Australian wines. Alongside, a friendly atmosphere with convivial staff and the locals (and not-so-locals) that frequent it.

Meet the locals

Aurelien Bagou and Belinda Alexander are the creative minds behind St-Germain Wine Bar.

Aurelien has a strong heritage in Melbourne’s French dining scene, having run the eponymous Chez Bagou in Albert Park for years. Belinda – a successful business owner herself – brings a keen eye for design and adept project skills to transform vision into a reality. Hawthorn locals themselves, they were inspired to create a welcoming space to swap stories with friends and savour the finer things in life.
